Yeman Crippa achieved a feat in France: the Italian triumphed at the Paris Marathon, one of the largest in the world with nearly 60,000 participants, setting a personal best of 2:05:18.
Not only that: he is the first Italian to conquer the 42.195 km of the French capital, an event that a European had not won for 24 years (Frenchman Benoit Zwierzchiewski in 2002).
“My marathon career begins today,” the Italian exulted.
