Zelensky's dramatic message: "We left alone to fight, where is the West?"
"Sanctions are not enough, everyone is afraid. I'm staying here even if they are Putin's number one goal"
"Ukraine was left alone to fight Russia." In a video posted on the Ukrainian presidency website, Vlodymyr Zelenski attacks the West.
"The sanctions are not enough", he stresses, then asks himself controversially. “Who is ready to fight with us? I see nobody. Who is ready to give Ukraine a guarantee of NATO membership? Everyone is afraid ".
"Ukraine - he reiterates - is left alone, the world watches what is happening here from afar and the sanctions have not been able to convince Russia to give up".
With the Russians at the gates of Kiev and "enemy sabotage forces entering the city", the Ukrainian president - Putin's number 1 target to overthrow the government - is now at risk. A US plan to save him? There doesn't seem to be Joe Biden hinted.
“I'm staying here and my family won't leave Ukraine,” says Zelensky, “even though Russia has identified me as target number one and my family members as target number two. The fate of the country depends on our soldiers and our people ”.
“Sooner or later - is the president's hope - the Russians will have to talk to us to put an end to hostilities and stop this invasion. The sooner this dialogue begins, the lower the losses for Russia ”.
The president signed the decree for the general mobilization of all men of fighting age. All men between 18 and 60 cannot leave Ukraine.
