West Bank: Carabinieri threatened by settler: Tajani summons Israeli ambassador
The Foreign Minister wants to clarify what happened to the Italian soldiers

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, the Farnesina announced, has requested that the Israeli ambassador to Italy be summoned to seek clarification and confirm the strong protest regarding the incident involving two Carabinieri officers serving at the Italian Consulate General in Jerusalem.
The two soldiers were stopped in Palestinian territory, near Ramallah, probably by a "settler" at the threat of a machine gun.
The Italian Embassy in Tel Aviv has already filed a formal protest with the Israeli government, addressing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, COGAT, the IDF General Staff, the police, and the Shin Bet.
