The two-year-old boy trapped in a well was rescued after more than 17 hours

Satwik Mujagonda, the less than two-year-old boy trapped since last night in a well six meters deep, was rescued in India. The operation to free him lasted more than 17 hours.

The little boy, whose condition had been monitored by a video camera inserted into the well, is fine, and was immediately transported to the nearest hospital for further checks.

Sathwik had fallen into the well next to a field on his father's farm while playing.
