Trump to Starmer: "Disappointed with Putin. World War III would be a disgrace."
The US President meets with the British Prime Minister: "Millions of people have died in Ukraine, and the conflict is at risk of spreading."A third world war would be "a disgrace."
US President Donald Trump said this at a press conference after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer , during his official visit to the United Kingdom.
Shortly before, Starmer himself had said, regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, that "Europe has stepped up by creating the Coalition of the Willing, led by the United Kingdom and France" at a time when "we risk ending up in a Third World War, which we do not want to happen."
For his part, Trump also claimed to have "ended seven wars," but regarding the one in Ukraine and the attempts at negotiations with Moscow, "Putin really disappointed me."
The US leader also declared that in Ukraine "there have been millions of deaths, especially military personnel" and admitted that, despite everything, there is hope for " some good news in the coming days".
As for Starmer, the British Prime Minister insisted on calling for more "pressure on Putin," recalling that the Russian president only made concessions when Trump put him under pressure. The American president responded by saying he was acting to avert the risk of "a third world war."
