For the first time since 2015 executions return to Oklahoma.
In the US state, lethal injections were suspended six years ago, but now seven death sentences are planned.
Among the convicts is Julius Jones, accused of murder in 1999. The man has always pleaded innocent and in 2018 his case had become a documentary series, "The Last Defense", produced by Viola Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon.
Jones has been on death row for twenty years: he was convicted of the death of Paul Howell, a 45-year-old white who, according to the accusations, Jones was trying to steal the car. Thousands of voices calling for his release from prison, seeing in the sentence clear racial discrimination and insufficient evidence of guilt.
Many VIPs who had asked for his pardon have lined up in his favor: among them also the star Kim Kardashian.
