Shootings and explosions in a hotel in Kabul: dead and wounded

Three dead and 18 injured . It is the first and provisional assessment of the attack inflicted , with explosions and gunshots , on a hotel in Kabul frequented mainly by Chinese entrepreneurs.

In a video shared on social networks, the terrible images of black smoke enveloping the building and a fire that devours the lower floors of the structure. In another video a man who, with gunshots in the background, jumps from a window to escape.

According to the tweet from Emergency , which manages a hospital one kilometer from the scene of the incident, "the wounded were transported to the scene, three men had already died on arrival at the hospital" .

A Kabul police spokesman said the victims were three bombers while   another suspect was arrested. “All the hotel guests were saved. Only two foreigners were injured when they jumped from an upper floor of the hotel,” Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid added on Twitter.

Since the Taliban returned to power in August last year, the country has been rocked by dozens of explosions and attacks, many of which are claimed by ISIS.

China's Xinhua news agency confirmed that its embassy in Kabul is monitoring the situation closely. The attack has not yet been claimed.
