Shooting in the center of Paris, one dead and four wounded

A man was shot dead in the heart of Paris , in the hugely popular 11th arrondissement, not far from the places of the tragic night of the Bataclan.

Four other people were injured , fortunately not seriously.

According to the first reconstructions, two individuals got out of a car at about 9.30 pm on rue Popincourt and opened fire on two people sitting at a bar table.

Investigators seem to favor a settling of scores and to exclude terrorism . One of the two assailants was arrested, the second managed to lose his tracks.

A security perimeter was erected in front of the venue and the police opened an investigation into intentional murder and attempted murder .
