Shooting at the University of Panama, a student dies

Serious episode during the night at the University of Panama.

An armed man broke into the facility and shot at a group of students. One died, another was injured.

What happened was confirmed by the rector of the institute, Eduardo Flores, according to whom the episode occurred in the regional university center of Veraguas, while first-year students of the faculty of Agricultural Sciences were carrying out their practices in the field.

According to what was reported by the director of the Centre, Pedro Samaniego, the suspect climbed over a fence and fled, prompting the police to activate a search operation in the area.
