23-Year-Old Murdered in Front of Thousands of Online Viewers, Femicide Investigation Opened

Horror in Mexico over the brutal murder of influencer Valeria Márquez.
The 23-year-old was shot and killed while making a live video broadcast from her beauty salon in the western state of Jalisco, home to a dangerous drug cartel.
“They’re coming,” she can be heard saying quietly to the thousands of viewers connected at the time. Then she looks up, terrified, and is hit. The video has been removed from TikTok but is currently circulating online on other platforms.
The police are investigating, the Jalisco State Attorney's Office has opened an investigation for femicide. From what we learn, it seems that the assailant's face was captured for a few moments by the cell phone camera.
