In three days she sent more than 400 messages to the cell phone of a man, whom she had fallen in love with, even threatening him if he had not received an answer.

The employee of the municipality of Yanagawa (Japan) was arrested for stalking.

The 39-year-old in her requests pleaded for "at least one sign" from the man, who is 10 years younger. Having received no response, she had called the office where he works suggesting that he would use a knife.

The prefecture office confirmed that the woman works part time in the municipality's library. The two had met in September but had never been in a relationship. " I just found it interesting," the 39-year-old told police.
