The ordeal of the two women from Sassari who have been waiting three months to return to Italy from Poland seems destined to end.

The aircraft's medical team has given the green light for the return of the 68-year-old woman, who fell ill in Wroclaw at the end of May and has since been hospitalized in the city hospital. Her daughter, Federica Cossu, spoke about the woman's ordeal, describing the surgeries her mother underwent and the subsequent long wait for a place in a healthcare facility.

After the “no” from Niguarda Hospital in Milan, Federica contacted the Cagliari Polyclinic on August 6th, which just yesterday made a place available in the Internal Medicine department .

These difficulties, unfortunately, reflect the island's health emergency and the overcrowding plaguing the various hospitals. "We're happy to be back," says Federica. Departure is scheduled for next Monday.
