A drone struck the headquarters of the Ukrainian intelligence service (SBU) in central Kiev, President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
The SBU headquarters is located on Volodimirska Street, opposite the Hagia Sophia Monastery. In a video taken after the attack and posted by the UNIAN news agency, smoke can be seen coming from only one window of the building, which is otherwise intact. This suggests a targeted attack.
Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced that at least nine people were injured in the raid, seven of whom required hospitalization. The Kiev Independent reports.
Meanwhile, negotiations are progressing, and Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will depart the US today for Moscow, where they will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday. On Sunday, they will be in Kiev for the first time to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. AXios reports, citing sources, according to which the two envoys met with Donald Trump at the White House yesterday to discuss their trip.
