A part of the roof of the "Indira Gandhi" international airport in Delhi collapsed yesterday around 5.30 am (local time). The accident, which occurred at Terminal-1, resulted in the death of one person and eight injuries.

The sheet metal and support beams fell onto the cars, probably following heavy rain.

The firefighters of the Indian metropolis intervened on site and completed the search operations.

Flight departures have been temporarily suspended.
