After more than four months in prison, former European Parliament Vice-President Eva Kaili has also been released.

According to what has been learned, the Belgian justice has ordered house arrest with the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet.

"A logical decision that we have waited for far too long," commented Sven Mary , the lawyer of the former EP vice president arrested on 9 December last year as part of the investigation into the so-called Qatargate.

"Eva Kaili comes out of prison with her head held high and with dignity, she has not confessed to crimes she did not commit, she will fight for her innocence to the end ," said another lawyer, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos.
