Russian drone attack on Kiev overnight : explosions were reported in several areas of the capital, while air defense went into action. According to the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitalij Klitschko, the toll is at least 4 dead and over 40 injured . Several fires broke out in the city.

Not only the capital, during the night Russia launched 407 drones, 6 ballistic missiles and 38 cruise missiles: "Most of them were destroyed" , said the head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat. A large-scale attack that hit the regions of Volhynia, Lviv, Ternopil, Kiev, Sumy, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy and Chernihiv .

Putin's "revenge" has arrived after the attacks on the trains. Yesterday, received at the White House, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz appealed to Donald Trump saying that "he is the key person in the world who can really stop the war", and asked him to "put pressure on Russia". But Trump himself said clearly: "I do not think that Russia and Ukraine will sign an agreement" .

Meanwhile, after the Russian strikes, comes yet another appeal from Volodymyr Zelensky to the West: "Russia must be held accountable for this. From the first minute of this war they have hit cities and villages to destroy human lives. We have done a lot together with the world to have the opportunity to defend ourselves. But now is the time when the US, the EU and everyone in the world together can stop this war by putting pressure on Russia. If someone does not apply pressure and gives the war more time to claim victims, this is complicity and responsibility . We must act decisively".
