Putin to soldiers: "You must defeat the Ukrainians in Kursk as soon as possible"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the defeat of the Ukrainians in the Kursk region "as quickly as possible," Tass reported.

The president, dressed in military uniform, paid his first visit to troops engaged in a counteroffensive to expel Ukrainian forces from the region since last August.

The one who received it was the Chief of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, according to whom the Ukrainian forces are surrounded and are being "methodically destroyed".

Military commanders said 86 percent of the occupied territory had been liberated so far , with 24 settlements liberated in the last five days alone.
