No one can say "who owned the drone that crashed over Romania until experts have examined the remains," Russian President Vladimir Putin said, as quoted by Russian news agencies.

"It could have been a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle, deviated from its trajectory due to electronic defenses or a lack of data," the Kremlin chief added, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Russia, he added, is ready to conduct an objective investigation into the drone that crashed in Romania if it is handed over the wreckage of the aircraft. However, he added, in the past, Ukrainian drones have entered several countries, and the first reaction has always been "the Russians are attacking."
