A truce in Ukraine “should be one that leads to long-term peace and addresses the root causes of the conflict.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at a press conference with Belarusian leader Lukashenko , stressing that "in the current situation in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian side would benefit from reaching a ceasefire for at least 30 days." Some issues still need to be addressed for a truce in Ukraine, and Russia still needs "consultations with the US," probably with a phone call between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
“The situation in the Kursk region is completely controlled by Russian forces, Ukrainian troops are completely isolated and have only two options: surrender or die,” Russian President Vladimir Putin continued.
