After "Freedom Convoy", the protest that began last week starring Canadian truckers opposed to the requirement of vaccinating against Covid if you cross the border with the US, the wave of demonstrations widens and touches other cities such as Ottawa, Toronto , Quebec City and Winnipeg, where thousands of people took to the streets.
In the capital, demonstrators lit bonfires and created portable saunas against the freezing temperatures of the period, even building bouncy castles for children in front of parliament, waving Canadian flags and shouting anti-government slogans.
The police took sides and set up barriers to restrict vehicles from entering the city.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has already said in recent days that he does not intend to use the army for evictions.
