Prince George turns 11 today. George and Kate's firstborn, second behind his father in the line of succession to the crown of the House of Windsor, appears smiling in the photo signed by his mother.

A birthday that comes in a difficult period for his family: starting with the double diagnosis of cancer made known between January and March first for his 75-year-old grandfather, King Charles III, and then for his mother Kate who remains struggling with the effects of a heavy oncological therapy, although she has recently reappeared on the scene in two - for now in two official events.
