An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 has struck northern Iran, at a time of great tension for the country, engaged in the conflict with Israel, the USGS, the United States Geological Survey, reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake, according to the Iranian agency Tasnin, was located southeast of the city of Senman, which is 175 kilometers from Tehran, at a depth of about 10 kilometers.
