Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that there will be no Palestinian state , speaking at the signing ceremony of a major settlement project in the occupied West Bank.
“We will keep our promise that there will be no Palestinian state, this place belongs to us,” Netanyahu said at the event in Maale Adumim, an Israeli settlement just east of Jerusalem.
"Today," he added, "something huge is happening. This project will double the population of Ma'ale Adumim. 70,000 people will live here within five years. It will be a huge change ."
A statement that comes, not by chance, on the day in which the European Parliament approved a resolution asking member states to "consider recognising the State of Palestine" .
