The three days of the G7 ended in Hiroshima with a brief ceremony. Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, was also present at the last two working sessions. With regard to his country, the leaders reaffirmed "firm assistance in providing diplomatic, financial, humanitarian and military assistance" and reaffirmed "their determination to restore peace and support the free and open international order based on the rule of law".

The day's program was opened by a visit to the Peace Memorial Museum, dedicated to the victims of the first atomic bomb dropped in 1945 by the USA.

"President Zelensky in Hiroshima, the city of peace, sends a powerful message. The G7 strongly supports President Zelensky's efforts to bring about a just and lasting peace. One that restores Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity" and it is consistent with the principles of the United Nations Charter”, wrote the president of the EU commission Ursula von der Leyen on social media.
