Italy is ready to help Ukraine also in view of next winter in the protection of infrastructure and is working on the eighth package of weapons to be sent to Kiev.

This was said by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani in the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev.

The head of the Farnesina has guaranteed Italy's concrete support in Ukraine's path to joining the EU also through the support of some institutions, for example through the Guardia di Finanza.

The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the EU Foreign Council, took place "in a spirit of great and special mutual friendship between governments ". On the occasion, Tajani also confirmed that Ukraine will be the priority of the Italian agenda of the G7 while Zelenski welcomed today's statement on the Italian Patronage for the reconstruction of Odessa.
