The Israeli army raided the Hamas headquarters in Gaza City , near the Shifa hospital.

" Fifty terrorists were killed ", reports the military spokesperson, according to whom the headquarters is "the heart of Hamas' intelligence and operational activities" and the place where the attacks of 7 October were "conceived and prepared" . The Tel Aviv operation took place with the support of the air force and special forces.

Military intelligence documents, tunnel entrances, workshops for the production of anti-tank missiles and anti-aircraft launch stations were found in the headquarters. The headquarters “consists of strategic parts of Hamas, including intelligence and air defense as well as the terrorist organization's government offices, including the Ministry of the Interior and the police station.”

Furthermore, the entire area contains "the major training facilities in the Strip for urban warfare, military outposts and various workshops for the production of munitions, including rockets, anti-tank missiles, drones and explosives."

The fighting is not just in Gaza, where Hamas - Israel says - "has lost control of the north of the Strip". The Israeli army is engaged in heavy clashes with Palestinian militiamen in several West Bank cities, including Jenin, Nablus and Kalkilya. In Jenin, army operations, which also make use of drones against local militiamen, began in the early hours of the morning and Palestinian medical sources speak of at least ten dead and 20 injured.

Today the heads of the CIA and Mossad, Bill Burns and David Barnea, met in Doha to carry forward negotiations aimed at a truce that allows the release of some hostages in the hands of Hamas. Abbas Ibrahim, the leader of the Lebanese 007, also attended the meeting.
