Iran: Video of gunfire on injured protesters in hospital: Government opens investigation

Numerous videos online show Iranian security forces in riot gear storming Ilam Hospital, 515 kilometers (320 miles) from Tehran, opening fire and killing wounded protesters.
An episode that, AP reports, provoked a reaction from the US State Department and prompted Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian last night to instruct the Interior Ministry to set up a special team for a thorough investigation into what happened.
The Iranian presidency acknowledged an “incident at a hospital in the city of Ilam.”
