Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced today that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the end of US "acts of aggression," according to a statement broadcast by Iranian state television IRIB.
Washington yesterday launched a new series of attacks against Iran and resumed its port blockade. "The fighters' retaliatory operations will continue, and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the United States ceases its acts of aggression," the IRGC stated.
Meanwhile, the war in Iran could cost triple the official estimate of approximately $30 billion. According to NBC, the figure circulating within the Pentagon is around $80-100 billion , including the costs of replacing destroyed aircraft and replenishing weapons stockpiles.
