The Iranian military said it carried out several attacks on US bases in Bahrain and Kuwait this morning.

"During the operation in Bahrain, the US jet apron and depot, the US military's fuel depot at the Sheikh Isa base in southern Bahrain, as well as some bridges were targeted," the statement added, cited by Fars news agency.

The Revolutionary Guards also said in a statement, cited by the IRNA news agency, that "the logistics center of the US armed forces and the radar at the Al Salem base in Kuwait were destroyed during the attack, resulting in the deaths of several members of the armed forces and the destruction of a silo under repair, a weapons depot and a drone base."

"Countries in the region that have made bases available to the United States," the statement reads, " should expect a proportionate response from Iran and should activate their own defense systems to protect the lives of civilians in their countries so that they do not become targets."
