Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hospitalized in Tel Aviv "with severe chest pains" after fainting at home.

This was announced by the office of the prime minister himself.

Netanyahu arrived at the emergency room by car - and not by ambulance - from his private residence in Caesarea, 50 kilometers away, accompanied by his staff and underwent tests. His conditions are said to be good: according to his collaborators he suffered from dehydration after a visit to Lake Tiberias and had a "slight dizziness".

In the hospital with the premier, according to what has been learned, are his wife Sarah and son Avner. At the moment, the demonstrations against the judicial reform scheduled tonight, at the end of the sabbatical rest throughout the country, remain confirmed.

Netanyahu will remain in hospital for further analysis.
