He will run again, but this time the solidarity project will be different: the marathon will be dedicated to a fundraiser for the purchase of a special wheelchair for the disabled, in order to allow less fortunate enthusiasts to be able to live the same experience in New York in the future. Tomorrow, Sunday 3 November, Nicola Marras, fitness instructor and traveller, resident for some years in Nurachi, known on social media with the name “A Sardinian in New York”, will be part of the historic marathon of the Big Apple.
"In the past few weeks we have seen Nicola training intensely on the streets of Nurachi - the Municipality led by Mayor Renzi Ponti reported - showing strength and determination to be able to reach this new important sporting and solidarity goal. We accompany Nicola in this experience, because he represents a positive example of how, through willpower and enthusiasm, it is possible to combine sport and solidarity to reach significant goals. Sport represents an important tool for social inclusion, for promoting psychophysical well-being, exactly what Nicola has interpreted and concretely testified in these years. We will ideally be with him in New York to support him".
