Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez also announced that he will ask the EU to sanction Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir following the video in which he mocks the members of the flotilla, including 45 Spaniards. Great Britain expressed its "horrified," and official protests also came from the United States: "The flotilla was a stupid prank, but Ben Gvir betrayed the dignity of his nation. Despicable acts ," US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee wrote on X.
