A fight between brother and sister over Christmas presents ended in tragedy.

Choc in Florida where a 14 year old shot his 23 year old sister: they had started arguing while shopping while they were with another brother and their mother, then the argument continued at their grandmother's house, near Tampa.

At one point the boy pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at his brother. Other relatives intervened to stop him. The 14-year-old then went into the garden where his sister was with her six-year-old son and threatened them both with death. His sister, who evidently hadn't taken him seriously, asked him several times to put the gun down and stop because "it's Christmas". In response he shot her in the chest and killed her. The child was unharmed. The other brother came out with another gun and in turn shot the killer, who has undergone surgery and is not in serious condition. He is charged with murder and illegal possession of a weapon. Both boys had prior convictions for robberies.
