A terrible fire broke out overnight in a karaoke in Binh Duong, a city in southern Vietnam near Ho Chi Min.

The toll is tragic, there is talk of at least 12 dead and 11 injured : "The teams are on the spot in search of the victims, the cause of the fire has not been determined and is under investigation", let the rescuers know.

The fire destroyed the second and third floors of the four-level building, trapping customers and staff inside, state media reported. "Many people fled through the main entrance, but many others jumped off the building breaking their legs and hands ," said a witness.

A similar tragedy (with 13 deaths) occurred in 2016 in a karaoke bar in the capital Hanoi. This tragedy had led authorities to inspect nightclubs, suspected of ignoring basic safety rules, across the country. In August, three firefighters died trying to put out a fire that broke out in a karaoke bar in Hanoi.
