In a fire that broke out last night in East Delhi, in the area of the Mundka metro stop, 27 people died. A toll that seems destined to rise due to the dozens of people who were taken to hospital with severe burns.

The flames developed in a four-story building with shops and offices - there were no fire escapes or other fire requirements in the building.

The police arrested the two owners. Throughout the night, the operations of the fire brigade went on to extinguish the stake. This is one of the worst tragedies in the recent history of the Indian capital.
