Meta Platforms is preparing to launch ad-free subscription plans for its social platforms in Europe.

This was announced by the American company, which will offer users a monthly subscription plan of 9.99 euros to use Facebook and Instagram on desktop without advertising, while on mobile devices the cost will be 12.99 euros.

For minors, Facebook's parent company has decided to temporarily suspend advertising on their profiles to comply with European data protection standards.

Meta's decision will come into force as early as November 6. On the premarket, Meta shares are gaining 0.7%.
