Two arrests and six search warrants. The turning point in the investigation into the death of a young man, who from what can be seen in a video circulating on social media, was killed by the police in Venezuela, arrived last night.

Attorney General Tarek William Saab announced with a post on Twitter: "Willians Ortega and Cesar Freitas, officials of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) of Miranda, responsible for the execution of the citizen Dimilson Rafael Guzman Santaella are detained".

The footage shows a boy tied by his arms to a door frame and then executed with a rifle shot by a police officer in riot gear. Prosecutors confirmed that the arrests are linked to this video, apparently shot without the knowledge of the police.

The officers were charged with "aggravated murder".
