The powerful boss of the Foggia area Marco Raduano, who escaped in February 2023 from the Badu 'e Carros prison in Nuoro, and his right-hand man Gianluigi Troiano, both currently in prison, would be responsible for a murder that occurred on 21 November 2023 in Alhendín , a Spanish town located in the province of Granada: this is what was reconstructed by the investigators of the Spanish Civil Guard, already involved in the international operation with which, almost five months ago, Raduano himself was arrested in France and Troiano in Otura, also in the province of Granada.

The victim of that crime was a "known drug trafficker", previously involved in a drug ring with the Raduano clan. In a statement, the Guardia Civil announced the conclusions of its investigations into the presence of the boss and his accomplice in Spain.

Having escaped from Nuoro prison, Raduano would have reached Troiano in Otura : from there the two would have tried to track down the "narco", who had accumulated a debt towards them. Thus, the two would have learned that the man they were looking for - according to Iberian media, a Spaniard of Moroccan origins - was hiding in Alhendín : at that point, they would have ambushed him, killing him with a hunting rifle on his doorstep and then fleeing in a stolen car (found burnt not far away the next day). Some time later, Raduano was arrested in Corsica, while Troiano in Otura. The first was extradited to Italy, while the second remained in prison in Spain, awaiting repatriation.

In the meantime, the Guardia Civil has concluded the investigation into the murder that occurred in Alhendín, attributing responsibility to the two Italian fugitives. The weapon they allegedly used for the crime, a 12 gauge hunting rifle, was found not far from the crime scene.
