Around 30 tourists are missing after a cruise ship sank off Marsa Alam (Egypt) , in the Red Sea . There were 31 passengers on board the vessel "Sea Story", plus 14 crew members.

The search is underway to find the 30 missing people, from various nationalities. Among the shipwrecked, "some survivors have been saved", the authorities say, on site for search and rescue operations at sea.

Major General Amr Hanafi, governor of the Red Sea, announced the "discovery of some survivors of the shipwreck" in Wadi El Gamal. The officer stressed that "intensive search operations are continuing in coordination with the Navy and the Armed Forces."
