There are 5 lifeless bodies recovered by rescuers after the powerful earthquake that occurred yesterday on the Philippine island of Luzon. Magnitude 7 caused damage and destruction of buildings as well as landslides and power outages in several provinces.

After the first quake, there were over 800 aftershocks, 24 of these strong enough to be felt by the population.

The injured are more than 100.
