First a fight, then the fall from the balcony. The hypothesis of a crime of domestic violence is gaining ground. This is the crime registered in the investigation file regarding the case of the 18-year-old from Arzachena who fell from the fourth floor of a hotel in Malta on Wednesday. The Maltese police are investigating the case, while the local press underlines that, at the moment, no hypothesis is being ruled out, including that of a voluntary act or an accidental fall linked to drug use.

The young woman was on vacation with her boyfriend, a 28-year-old, who was questioned by the police and who was heard in court, where he was fined for drug abuse. The man was allowed to return to Italy and to return to Arzachena, where the girl also lives. The Italian embassy, contacted by the girl's father, is following the case. It is not yet clear whether the young woman, currently hospitalized in the Orthopedics Department of the Mater Dei Polyclinic where she will undergo back surgery tomorrow, intends to file a complaint against her companion.

There was an argument between the two, but the 28-year-old himself was among the first to provide assistance. In the meantime, the 18-year-old's father had to return to Sardinia over the weekend due to the sudden death of his own father. The 18-year-old's sister remained in Malta with her.
