An Afghan woman displaced from Baghlan province in Kabul sold her one-and-a-half-year-old baby to buy medicine for her other 13-year-old sick daughter.

This was reported by Tolo News, who interjected the woman, Lailuma, whose husband died last year.

"I received 30 thousand Afghans (about 300 euros, ed) for the child", his story. "I had no other choice, nobody wants to sell their son," he said.

Meanwhile, the situation of displaced people living in tents in Kabul is becoming increasingly critical, many families have denounced the precarious conditions and their fears increase as winter approaches.

"When it rains, it floods everywhere. Our children are sick," said Maria, a displaced woman from Kunduz. "Refugee ministry officials have come here but have not provided any assistance so far," said Aaisha, a refugee from Takhar.
