The President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and the representatives of his team who participated yesterday in Sofia in the meeting of the Advisory Council for National Security dedicated to the position of Bulgaria on the accession negotiations of Skopje and Tirana to the EU, which lasted about six hours, isolated themselves for contacts with the president of the Bulgarian parliament Nikola Mincev tested positive for coronavirus.

Mincev was present at the meeting, after which he felt ill. This morning the government press office announced that Prime Minister Kiril Petkov is in self-isolation for the same reason.

The duration of the quarantine period for the persons involved will be established shortly, which according to the law in force should be at least seven days.

An official visit by the newly elected Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov to Skopje is scheduled for 18 January.
