High tension in Belgium, during a march organized in Brussels, against the anti-Covid restrictions imposed by the government.

During the demonstration, the demonstrators threw objects at the police and the agents reacted using tear gas and fire hydrants in the Cinquantenaire Park area, near the buildings of the European Union, to disperse the crowd.

According to reports from the local press, about 50 thousand people descended on the square.

Many acts of vandalism committed during the procession, with damage to parked cars and buildings.

Videos that appeared on social media show attacks on police officers and assaults on law enforcement vehicles.
