According to the most updated toll, there are 10 victims of the shipwreck of the tourist boat yesterday off the coast of Hokkaido, in Japan. There were 26 people on board.

The survivors were recovered by police helicopters, one was found along the coast line.

The Meteorological Agency reported that a storm with waves up to three meters high was raging by the time the ship disappeared from the radar reading on the Shiretoko Peninsula. The captain had issued an initial alarm to the harbor master's office, saying that he was taking on water and that the boat "was tilted by 30 degrees".
