Andrei Krukowski, 37-year-old director of the ski resort of Russian giant Gazprom, died "falling off a cliff" in Sochi . This was announced by the international media underlining that the episode was considered an accident but recalling that - as the Polish website Onet writes - several managers linked to Gazprom have tragically died recently, five to be precise since January.

“The general manager of the Krasnaya Polyana resort, Andrei Alekseevich Krukovski , tragically passed away. He loved the mountains and found peace there. The tragedy occurred on the way to the Akzepsinskaya fortress, ”wrote the Tass news agency.

According to what has been reconstructed, Andrei Krukowski was taken to hospital immediately after the accident, but died of his injuries.

The resort he ran, Krasnaya Polyana, is one of the most famous ski resorts in Russia : in 2014 it was part of the Olympic complex of the Sochi Winter Games.

An investigation into the case of the death has already been opened, and Tass reported that an autopsy has already been ordered based on reports from the Krasnodar Krai Investigation Committee.

BACKGROUND - As reconstructed by CNN, the trail of deaths begins on January 30, 2022, in the village of Leninsky: a Gazprom executive is found dead in his cottage, next to a note explaining the reasons for the suicide. This is Leonid Shulman , head of transport at Gazprom Invest. About a month later, the body of another Gazprom executive was found, also in the same town: on February 25, Alexander Tyulakov was found lifeless in the garage of his home. According to the independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta Tyulakov committed suicide. Then there is the case of Vladislav Avayev , former vice president of Gazprom, found lifeless with his wife and daughter in an apartment in Moscow on April 18. And then the case of Sergey Protosenya , manager of Novatek, a company partially controlled by Gazprom. His body was found together with that of his wife and daughter in Lloret de Mar, near Barcelona. Even in this case, however, the murder-suicide theory is questioned by Protosenya's son: "My father would never have done it," he declared.
