Rescue services were immediate , first stabilizing and then transferring the little girl to the hospital in Formentera and, from there, by helicopter to the hospital in Ibiza. But the newborn didn't make it .

The landslide, with the fall of large rocks, also injured the little girl's father, a 33-year-old man, who was also hospitalized in a less serious manner .

The landslide occurred around 9.37am on Es Copinar beach, located in the southernmost part of Migion, in the south of the island, with stretches of sand and rock and without lifeguards.

The emergency services, who rushed to the scene with two ambulances with life support, the civil guard and the firefighters, tried to stabilize the little girl, while the local police cordoned off the area.

The magistrate on duty has ordered an investigation into the incident.
