During the handball weekend, only the three Sardinian teams from the women's A2 league took to the field and, after the matches of the third day, Hac Nuoro is at the top of the group B standings, alone with full points. The Barbagia team coached by Roberto Deiana reached six points after scoring a precious 15-18 on the Guerriere Malo field, a success obtained in a comeback after closing the first half 10-7 down. The best scorer of the match was Mirotta Cabanas of Hac, with 5 goals, one more than her teammates Basolu and Nkou and the home team Zanella.
Meanwhile, in Dossobuono, yesterday came the second defeat of the season for Man Città del Redentore, seventh with two points. The girls coached by Mattia Mancini, conditioned by absences, were beaten 34-19. After the difficult first half, which ended 16-10 after having also touched -9 (15-6 at 22'), the Nuoro players tried to stay in the game but at the start of the second half the Venetians immediately directed the game in their favor, bringing the advantage to double digits.
The draw in the late game played today, between Raimond Sassari and Oderzo, allowed the rossoblù to move into fourth place with 3 points to their name. The match ended with a score of 22-22 after the two teams had reached halftime at 10-10. Among the Turritane, Faig (8 goals), Piras (5) and Dibona (4) were decisive.
A Gold. The break in the top men's championship does not stop Raimond Sassari, who will be playing on the Fasano field at 7:00 pm on Tuesday in the recovery of the eighth day. The Sassari team, third with sixteen points, will face the scudetto-winning Junior, currently ninth with nine points, and will try to take full points to catch up with the other team from Puglia, Conversano, at the top of the standings.
