The winter sales in Sardinia begin on January 3, 2026. The island's eagerly awaited discount season kicks off, lasting sixty days, offering savings and reduced prices on numerous products.

The start date is in line with the national guidelines established by the Economic Development Commission of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, which, at its meeting on November 10, 2025, identified the first working day before the Epiphany holiday as the starting date. The goal is to ensure a consistent calendar of end-of-season sales across the country.

The sales represent a strategic moment for both the retail sector and residents. On the one hand, they allow families to access quality products at advantageous prices, and on the other, they offer businesses, particularly those in historic centers and tourist destinations, the opportunity to tap into the influx of visitors to the island during the holiday season.

Regional Councillor for Tourism, Crafts and Commerce, Franco Cuccureddu , emphasized the importance of promoting a transparent and competitive market , in full compliance with regional regulations governing special sales, to protect both consumers and businesses. The Sardinia Region therefore urges businesses and citizens to comply with current regulations, ensuring clear pricing and fair commercial practices. At the same time, it renews its commitment to supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the retail sector, considered a fundamental pillar of the island's economic and social fabric.
