Water polo, the thirteen Italians from Alghero for the Olympics

Having finished with a third place the Waterpolo Sardinia Cup, played last week in the municipal swimming pool of Alghero, the technical commissioner of the Italian national team Sandro Campagna has announced the thirteen Italian players who will participate in the Paris Olympics, scheduled at the Aquatics Center and the Arena La Défense from Sunday 28 July to Sunday 11 August.
Tommaso Gianazza, making his debut in major competitions, and Vincenzo Renzuto Iodice (An Brescia), Alessandro Velotto (Cn Marseille), Lorenzo Bruni and Gianmarco Nicosia (Rn Savona), Francesco Condemi, Marco Del Lungo, Francesco Di Fulvio, Gonzalo Echenique, Andrea have been called up. Fondelli, Matteo Iocchi Gratta and Nicholas Presciutti (Pro Recco), Edoardo Di Somma (Ferencvaros). Followed by referees Alessia Ferrari and Raffaele Colombo. The Settebello, world vice champion and reigning European bronze medalist, will make his debut against the United States on Sunday 28th at 3pm.
On the same day, Carlo Silipo, coach of the women's national team, also announced his thirteen players called up for the Olympic Games which, for them, will be held in the same facilities, but from Saturday 27 July to Saturday 10 August: Sofia Giustini (Sabadel ), Silvia Avegno (Mataro), Roberta Bianconi (Rapallo Water Polo), Caterina Banchelli, Domitilla Picozzi, Giuditta Galardi, Agnese Cocchiere (Sis Roma), Valeria Mariagrazia Palmieri, Claudia Roberta Marletta, Giulia Viacava, Chiara Tabani, Dafne Bettini, Giuseppina Aurora Condorelli (L'Ekipe Orizzonte). Followed by referees Alessia Ferrari and Raffaele Colombo.
Setterosa will debut against the hosts France on Monday 29th at 2pm.
